Breastfeeding in public is a legal right, but some mothers are made to feel uncomfortable when feeding their babies.
The Australian Breastfeeding Project wants to help women feel more comfortable breastfeeding in public, by snapping mums and bubs in some iconic locations.
Since launching in 2015, project photographers have snapped more than 2,000 breastfeeding mothers in over 260 locations around Australia — from the Sydney Opera House to outback canyons and coastal rainforests.
By sharing the images online, the project aims to reduce the stigma around breastfeeding in public, thereby encouraging mothers to breastfeed for longer.
